Background[edit | edit source]
Galadriel was one of the Firstborn Elves before the First Age had even begun. She was one of the leaders in the rebellion against the Valar, which led to the Elves' expulsion from their home of Valinor. Somewhere around this time period Galadriel was married to Celeborn. During the War of the Ring, Galadriel played a large part, and at that time bore a ring of her own, Nenya, the Ring of Water, one of the Three Elven Rings. She was part of the White Council, a group consisting of Gandalf, Saruman, Elrond and herself. She played a large role in the overthrowing of Dol Guldur, and assisted the Fellowship of the Ring on their journey through Lothlorien, her home.
