Occupation:

Chairman of the Board, The LEGO Group

Nationality:

Danish

Jørgen Vig Knudstorp is the current chairman of the board of the LEGO Group. Previously he was the Chief Executive Officer of the LEGO Group from October 2004 to December 2016; he was succeeded by Bali Padda, then-Chief Operating Officer of the LEGO Group as the new CEO[1]. He took over from the previous owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, who still owns the company, but does not run it. This is because LEGO is a family-run business, and Kjeld's grandfather first started up the company, so the ownership was passed onto his son. Jørgen Vig Knudstorp joined the LEGO Group in 2001. Jørgen has two masters degrees: one in economics and one in business administration.

Jørgen in Cartoon Form[edit | edit source]
