RE: Trailer[edit]

I saw the 10 second preview, then constantly refreshed my browser until the trailer dropped :P It is really cool that Mon Mothma is in it. The guy is definitely a Grand Admiral, his uniform etc. and I think he is a new character. I think he's going to be the main villain of the film, the one commanding all the stormtroopers and such. I think it's going to be an action heavy and combat centered movie, considering the fact that people from the military were hired to be stormtroopers. The guy in black - I wouldn't be surprised if it is the emporer. If that's the case, I think it'll only be for one scene, kind of like Snoke in TFA. Hey, that's an idea, maybe the hooded figure is Snoke :O Don't underestimate Disney. You've probably picked up on it, but at the very end when Jyn turns to face the camera you can hear some very iconic breathing noises, and the music that follows is a mix of the force theme and the imperial march. I wasn't expecting that much footage from a teaser trailer considering what we got for TFA, but I guess they had to show a lot to make sure people don't think it's Episode VIII (watch the reviews come in and see people complain about how Rey, Finn and Kylo aren't in it). I think they may have showed a bit too much from the climax of the film though. It seems that a massive shuttle exploding like that could be a major plot point... I think it'll be a good movie. Hopefully the characters get decent archs, it would be a shame if they didn't - we already know the outcome of the main plot. (for that reason I've gone into full spoilerphobe mode, so watch your step :P) BrikkyyTalk 06:43, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

I like all these names, and I'm 100% sure that the character in the background is half Wookie half Sontaran :P I want to know what AT-ACT stands for, and how it's any different from the classic AT-ATs. I'm really digging the new TIE Striker and U-Wing, or specifically how awesome it'll be to have those in LEGO :P See, I told you! That movie gets better every time I see it. I went full nerd, saw it 8 times in theaters :P BrikkyyTalk 06:50, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
I remember when the trailer dropped MSW reported that the AT-ATs (should I be calling them AT-ACTs?) looked like the ones from Rebels. I didn't know there were AT-ATs in Rebels, or that they were even different (then again, I'm way behind on rebels so I probably just haven't gotten up to it). I'd say trust their judgement because they're bigger Star Wars nerds then you could ever hope to be :P A lot of people have been thinking that the Strikers are prototype Interceptors. That makes a lot of sense to me, and it probably is legit. Hey, at least it's not a Q-Wing! (I tried to link to a YouTube video, the site blocked me with a spam filter :P look it up) People are saying that it's a troop transport, but I think the pictures make it look way bigger than it actually is. I still think it's a one-man ship. I saw someone say it looks like "the product of a three way between an A-Wing, X-Wing and Zam Wessel's airspeeder" XD If you want to talk about stuff being big an easy to hit, let's talk about B-Wings :P Do you have a link to Sir von Lego's post about that? I guess I missed it. BrikkyyTalk 00:44, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Oh ok. Now that definitely seems way to big and easy to hit :P hopefully the actual ship will have the turning wings. I decided to go back and watch Rebels :P just got up to the first episode with AT-ATs (AT-ACTs? :P) and now I see a clear difference. The cockpit definitely has different detailings (guns, more squared off too the back), and there's one clear difference on the underside of the main body, it's missing the large cylender thingy (you know, the thing that's represented by a podracer engine on the LEGO versions :P). Oh right, duh should have checked there first. Silly me. BrikkyyTalk 10:39, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Shoretrooper sounds kind of cool :P I had no clue LEGO stuff leaked out of rogue one. I am really out of the loop :P BrikkyyTalk 08:49, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Something happens when you set lettersinnumber=1 that causes "off" to be displayed under the set header (see those comcon pages). Couldn't see what though, but as you wrote it you might have a better idea. CJC95 (talk) 17:03, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Botting[edit]

When you botted yourself, you were only doing it to hide your edits from the RC to keep it clean, right? Do you think it might be a good idea for me to do that when I clean up my customs? It won't be thousands and thousands of edits to hide, but probably at least upwards of 75...I don't actually remember the numbers...maybe I should keep track this time. :P Berrybrick (talk) 15:01, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Part/new template[edit]

Per Part talk:3023 we need more colour parameters on the Part/new template as that part has more colours then what the template supports right now. Thanks. LegoFan4000 talk 21:25, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Set backgrounds[edit]

So now that I'm off school, I'm back to editing. Which means I have to start writing some FA's, which involves set backgrounds. Now for 41067 Belle's Enchanted Castle, do I just talk about the events that happen in the film or only things you can do with the set? This would be the easiest as I know the movie backwards and the set is small as fuddle. :P Berry didn't know exactly so your our only hope! :p Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg

Olivia is a Friends mini-doll figure introduced in 2012. She is one of the five main characters of the theme and the protagonist of the television series LEGO Friends of Heartlake City, appearing in all seven episodes. She is the smart girl of the group of friends. She currently appears in twenty sets and she has seventeen variations between them. Olivia also appears in thirty-eight of the forty-eight Friends webisodes. Olivia has seventeen variants, all of which have the same hairpiece. The headpiece's eye colour was initially amber in 2012 but was later changed to a rust brown colour. Olivia has light nougat skin. Olivia's eyes are currently rust brown in colour. Above her eyes, she has curved black eyebrows. She has a smile, which is decorated with bright purple lipstick.

Bclassic1.JPG

Hello! Today I'm reviewing one of the Classic sets that are new for 2015, 10696 LEGO Medium Creative Brick Box. This set was kindly donated to Brickipedia by our friends over at The LEGO Group. So, is this set worth picking up, or is it just another parts pack? As you can see, the packing is quite unconventional. Like most sets branded under the "LEGO" name alone (i.e. not any specific theme) the parts are packaged in large re-usable for containers.

I did make it from the home page, I just copied and pasted the last one to help me with a guideline. After posting it, it came up first so I assumed I didn't do anything wrong. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg

I think it's just a bad habit that I'm copying and pasting. I used to write them for scratch but then they wouldn't show up (that was a comments issue though). I think the news reports thing is fine, it's just a matter of me stopping a bad habit. :P Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg

RE: Trailer 2[edit]

I was completely unaware that the second trailer aired at celebration, thanks for the tip! Yeah it is a bit disappointing that a lot of the footage is recycled. At least we got some great new stuff from the making of reel. Yes, I do watch rebels, the trailer looks so awesome! I will say that I don't like the idea of Ezra being tempted by the dark side, considering that we've seen way to much of that type of story already, but hopefully it plays out interestingly. BrikkyyTalk 07:17, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

The thing that gets me the most in big series (like SW) is when villains die before their character can be used to it's full potential. I think TFA would've been 1000 times better if the resistance didn't destroy Starkiller base. On that Starkiller note, starwars.com has the vote going for the next black series figure again, Galen Marek is a choice. Mara Jade is also on the list, sorry to say that shes losing the vote last time I checked. Never read Aftermath, won't read Life Debt until I do. A friend who read Aftermath said it was alright, but it was kind of all over the place. I'll give it a shot though. BrikkyyTalk 09:36, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

BlackKnights-shield.png

The Black Knights were one of the various factions of LEGO's Castle theme and were introduced in 1988. During its run, a total of thirteen sets were released as part this series, including two major castles, making it one of the larger LEGO Castle factions of this era. The black colour of their fortifications was one of the features that set the Black Knights apart from earlier factions. The Black Knights were also distinguished by their symbol, which was a blue wyvern dragon featured on their shields and banners, a motif that was also used by the Dragon Masters with different colours. The Black Knights were phased out as regular theme after 1994 but the crest still made occasional appearances until 1996.

RE: trailer[edit]

Did you and I watch the same trailer? I'll start by saying that this is actually a full trailer, not a teaser, which I think is fantastic. They're going to route of not showing much, just like TFA. Other than the generic action shots (which look pretty cool, CGI looks great) the thing that I like the most is the cinematography. The film seems to mostly be shot from eye level perspective, and it makes for some great imagery (like the TIE crashing into what I assume is an AT-ACT cockpit, or the Death Star eclipsing the sun). It seems to be very different from anything we've seen in Star Wars before. If this film takes the right risks, which it should, it'll pay off.

The one thing I didn't like: Vader had no reason to be in it. Reminds me of The Joker from the fist Suicide Squad trailer. BrikkyyTalk 06:15, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

  • I think the fact that it doesn't show "anything new" story wise is pretty cool, it keeps the mystery. But yes, show me the movie already! :P (it might be too soon, but I think that Rogue One will be better than TFA - mainly for the fact that it won't be fan-servicy and will try to be its own thing). Yeah that TIE shot does feel like it's right out of Rebels, but I still think it's pretty epic. The TIE looks really intimidating. I don't recal a rocket launcher being used in any of the other 7 films (still getting used to saying that there's 7 :P), but maybe a Clone used one in the background of one of the battles. BrikkyyTalk 09:54, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
  • My view is the complete opposite to yours. We know what's going to happen in the end, so everything else should be a surprise. I agree though, it should be a character driven film with great action scenes - it looks like it won't disappoint on that front. It would be really cool if Jyn just shoots the pilot Indy style, but I'm kind of hoping she jumps onto the tie a la Anakin and Zam Wessel. Random kind of unrelated fact that you may or may not have known: when shooting Raiders of the Lost Ark in Cairo, they shot the chase sequence in chronological order over 3 days. Everybody got food poising from the catering, including Harrison Ford. The script originally called for Indy to get into a fistfight with the swordsman, but Ford had aggressive diarrhea and was not up for it. When the crowd split to reveal the swordsman, Ford improvised with his gun. Spielberg liked it so he left it in :P BrikkyyTalk 11:27, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Re: Shorthanding color values[edit]

My apologies, I legitimately didn't see this message, so sorry for responding so late! It's only the bgcolor attribute and it was deprecated as HTML is serving content and bgcolor isn't semantic, and CSS can be used instead. (e.g background-color: #fff; instead of bgcolor="#fff" As for ugliness, I actually happen to disagree and think that it's more readable, but oh well. :P (Fun fact, did you know that lowercasing helps performance? Not by much but here it is if you want to check it out. http://www.websiteoptimization.com/speed/tweak/lowercase/ It's pretty minor but I just prefer writing in lowercase. I won't undo an edit if you decide to capitalize them, that's just annoying micromanaging. :P)

Since you're also wondering about IE support, don't worry about that :) Like I said, only for bgcolor. • To expand on in case its changed, I imagine the reasons for it are some mixture of:
    1. If someone updates the template, it doesn't retroactively change the welcome people received.
    2. If someone messes around and breaks it, it doesn't break every user talk page.
    3. Wikipedia does it.

Re:[edit]

Well when you don't use elements the semantic HTML way, it has the potential to produce accessibility issues! Plus, unordered lists are meant for things that are meant to be laid out from bottom to top (so basically, yes, a list. :P) If you want to read some docs and pages on semantic HTML, the structure, and accessibility related to it, a few examples are http://webaim.org/techniques/semanticstructure/, https://siteimprove.com/blog/accessible-semantic-markup/, etc. Just search up "semantic html accessibility" and you should get some results. Looks like Brickipedia's getting a lot more of them recently, which is probably a good sign regarding readership! :D Only now sometimes I'll see them make an edit or submit article feedback that's a bit inexperienced and I'll worry, "dang, hope the others don't think that's me" :P 75.159.55.215 18:24, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

  • (replying here in case your address changes) Yeah, it's been good to see, and I've actually seen 1 or 2 registered user accounts being made lately too (they haven't edited, but still, reading counts). It's weird though since our viewing numbers are lower than they were between April and early June :S NovaHawk 02:32, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
    • Huh, interesting/odd. So more diversity in active participation, but slightly fewer readers? At least, looking at quantcast, it doesn't look much lower. 75.159.55.215 03:11, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
      • Yeah... I had the scale wrong in my head :P NovaHawk 11:30, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

ThemeTable, Infoboxes, & Whitespace[edit]

So while updating the ThemeTable section for DC Super Hero Girls, I noticed that if the individual sets' pages don't have a space after "Title =" in their infobox, i.e. if they just say "|Title =Bumblebee Helicopter" instead of "|Title = Bumblebee Helicopter", then the ThemeTable can't read any information from it, i.e. pictures/price/set. Is there a way it could be changed to avoid this issue? Or, alternatively, is there a quick bot thing that would ensure all pages have this space after the = ? 162.157.117.39 23:55, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Huh, odd. Just tested it with the TLBM sets, and a blank edit seems to work fine there, whereas I'm pretty sure a blank edit didn't work with DCSHG; nothing worked until I added those spaces... I'll try and find an example where there's no space to begin with after = (since there was a space for the TLBM sets) and see if a blank edit still works. Maybe DCSHG was just a fluke, or maybe I just messed something up. :S 136.159.16.7 18:30, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

oops[edit]

Hey, sorry about that edit on MediaWiki:Common.js. The result of something breaking was completely unintended. :P Although, I have been working on User:SamanthaNguyen/WikiTabs.js, which would greatly reduce the lines needed to create functional tabs. Let's hope I finish it someday, and hope it works if/when it gets completed. :P SamanthaNguyen (talk) 22:43, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Re: Wikimedia[edit]

Hey! That's okay ^~^ The presentation went pretty well, now that that discussion phase is done (it went from Nov 7 to Nov 20, and then the proposals were organized by the WMF Community Tech team), it's voting time! Currently so far, at: metawikimedia:2016 Community Wishlist Survey/Categories/Editing#Improve the History UI there's about 7 supports, 1 oppose, and 1 neutral. It's been improving so far and there's (hopefully!) going to be more voters voting on that proposal so that it could get more attention by the WMF staff :D So, it's actually not done yet because there's multiple phases, which I'll show you: (from the metawikimedia:2016 Community Wishlist Survey page ):

  1. Submit, discuss and revise proposals: Nov 7-20, 2016
  2. Community Tech reviews and organizes proposals: Nov 21–27
  3. Vote for proposals: Nov 28–Dec 12 (current)
  4. Results posted: Dec 15
  5. Screening and assessment of top wishes by Community Tech team: end of December
  6. Presentation of the initial assessment: Early January 2017
  7. Working on wishes: January–December 2017!

Hopefully it reaches one of the top wishes! That'd be pretty sweet :) (Also if you're wondering, I really just removed the stuff about it from my user page since from what I know, no one from here is eligible to vote, since it requires 200 edits across one or more Wikimedia projects, e.g MediaWiki.org, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, etc.)

Oh and I forgot to tell ya, but I also made a watchlist proposal called Watchlist folders, which got merged into Watchlist priorities or Multiple watchlists. There's quite a lot, huh? :P At this time, there's 267 proposals, 511 contributors, and 1186 support votes! And voting doesn't even end until Dec 12.. SamanthaNguyen (talk) 00:53, 1 December 2016 (UTC)

@watchlist: Heheh, agreed! @LEGO stuff: I didn't know that actually :O I'll try to help out and add stuff too :) Thanks! Let's hope the proposals get some attention. SamanthaNguyen (talk) 21:57, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Update, in case you're interested! The watchlists folder and watchlist priorities proposal is currently the 2nd most voted watchlist proposal out of all of the watchlist proposals, so there's a chance that it might get in the top 10, we'll see :) SamanthaNguyen (talk) 22:02, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
So now that it's ended, it ended with "265 proposals, 1132 contributors, 5044 support votes" (stats from the survey page)! How crazy is that honestly? holy cow! :P https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Categories/Watchlists#Watchlist_priorities_or_Multiple_watchlists ended with 48 supports, while https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Categories/Editing#Improve_the_history_UI ended with 23 supports. I'll tune you in once Dec 15 comes along (only a few days :D), which are when the posted results of the proposals ordered by vote # come in! :D Also P.S Yeah, I kinda use Wikipedia just for reading too - and plus, I'm honestly kinda scared to edit there because of all the policies and guidelines over there. :P SamanthaNguyen (talk) 00:36, 13 December 2016 (UTC)

Feedback[edit]

Looking at this, what's the craziest feedback you've seen Brickipedia receive? :P I might start keeping track of these things for a blog post someday (if I decide it's not too mean of a thing to publish). 108.173.5.169 03:17, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

  • I can't really remember any others, sorry. We definitely haven't been accused of anything like "ulterior motives" before as far as I can remember :) NovaHawk 05:05, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

2016 meta wikimedia survey[edit]

So I forgot to tell you, but the watchlist proposal got #23 out of 267 - that's pretty impressive :D https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Results Other people will still be working on the other proposals too (it'll just be other groups, from my understanding) - https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/FAQ SamanthaNguyen (talk) 00:43, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

Christmas time[edit]

Hey Nova, long time no talk page message :) Good to see you're still around :) Anyway I have a few weeks of not much going on so if there's anything related to the site you'd like me to do/look at/etc, feel free to tell me :) UltrasonicNXT (talk)

gerrit[edit]

Hey! I've got gerrit setup yesterday, so I can make patches and commits now :) (Actually already made some!) Now, I'm not as skilled as UltrasonicNXT, but I can still make changes :P Implementation of the demos will take a while since these are redesigns, so it'll require lots of testing like browser testing but I'll still be working on these extensions (along with brickimedia extensions) if you're wondering :) SamanthaNguyen (talk) 01:53, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

  • Hey, just dropping by for a minute so I don't have any time to check into it now, but will definitely take a look when I get back :) Oh, and I just noticed a completely missed one of your messages above- I'll read that too later, sorry about that :P NovaHawk 11:32, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Removing "to be" in "to be released"[edit]

Sorry if it is annoying or repetitive so i'll try not to do it in the future if I do not know the date, however the reason that I do it is that in someplace the sets are on backorder, pre-order, and in some places, the aisle has been cleared out so they can stock them, but, if I have been wrong with some of the dates then I am sorry and I will use your idea in the future. -monkeyjack

Security[edit]

Classmate linked me this today. reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/5vu3yn/cloudbleed_seceurity_bug_cloudflare_reverse/
Brickimedia (and about a billion other sites) are affected. Might be worth a siteheader (and perhaps blog because who reads the siteheaders amirite?) 108.181.132.156 17:36, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Krux & Acronix[edit]

I replied here; in spite of the box, which is odd, I do still think the names are switched. Ninjago wiki seems to agree. Also, WTH, someone else here had the same IP as me within 12 hours? That's certainly new. :P 198.91.90.240 01:34, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

  • (somehow missed this, sorry) Just going to respond here in case your IP changes again :P That's a really weird coincidence- I haven't seen two people with the same IP on here, let alone in such a short space of time. Uhhh... I'm trying to avoid spoilers and reading that opening line on the Time Twins page on the Ninjago wiki was bad enough :P I can't magine why, but maybe their names are going to be reversed in the English version of the show (unlikely I know). I don't really mind if they're switched or stay until an English version confirms it, but either way a note should probably be put on both the pages NovaHawk 03:42, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
    • Put a note for now. I still think it's a good idea to switch them just because of what fans are probably expecting. But they look so similar and the pages are so short, I guess either work for now so long as there is a note. 198.91.90.240 06:13, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
      • Thanks for adding the note, and if you want me to move the pages now let me know- it's not like this is the first time a name's been messed up on a Ninjago box (eg, Chope and Sleven on 70756) NovaHawk 06:33, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Can't log in[edit]

Hey, Nova, Vasko here. I've been having issues with logging in ever since attempting to change my password after the security breach. I didn't see an option to change my password while logged in, so I logged out and tried to do it via the "forgotten password" option. The problem is that I'm not receiving an email that would allow me to change it, and I've tried multiple times in the past week. Hopefully we can get this sorted out. 198.91.90.240 11:53, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Also dunno why the IP of the user in the above section of your talk page is the same as mine, but it was not me who wrote that message. Vasko
(That's really weird how you two seem to keep getting the same IP :D ) Sorry to hear you're having problems, unfortunately I don't have any sort of backend access so I can't just hit a button to fix it. I'll send Sam and Meiko a message about it now- hopefully one of them should be able to reset your password which should trigger an email to be sent NovaHawk 12:50, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
Many thanks for the assistance! Vasko
Have you checked the spam folder? I've forced-reset your password which should send you an email again if before it didn't work. Please tell me if it doesn't. If not, I can run the PHP maintenanace script changePassword.php or running an SQL query, although this requires discussing in private. SamanthaNguyen (talk) 22:21, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
I haven't received anything in my inbox or in the spam folder, and I check them on a regular basis. Vasko

Update[edit]

My password turns out to have updated after I changed it myself while I was still logged in. I suppose I just had to wait a little longer for it to change, since I only tried to log in with the new password in the first day after resetting it. Vasko (talk) 12:36, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Patroller[edit]

Could I have patroller on meta since I have patroller here? LegoFan4000 talk 21:28, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

Sorry about being inactive. We'll leave it as a typo until I find the book where it says her name. Oh and the Friends site is awful for character names. Soupperson1 Friends are Forever! <3Friends girls.jpg

I might return, what should I know?[edit]

Hi Nova,

It's been over 2 years since I last logged in from what I can see, and I'm wondering what's changed in terms of LEGO and Brickipedia. Hopefully I haven't missed to much, and I intend to continue to make a few edits here and there at some point or another. Should I submit a request for my Rollback/Chat Mod rights to be restored? Also, I recently got a top tier DSLR and a white box, so I'd be interested in doing a review if there were any sets still being handed out from LEGO.

Many thanks,

LK901/Ichindar/I don't even know what my name is anymore ;)

Ah ok. I don't know if I'll be able to do any major editing, since I've taken up a number of other hobbies, and I have a huge amount of school work to do, but I'll do my best to try and log on every day and do some counter vandalism or minor editing. --LK901 00:31, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Episode 8 Trailer[edit]

So I just stayed up to watch the Last Jedi panel live stream and ultimately the trailer. Not sure what to think as its only a teaser, but I'm happy with it. It seems to me like Rey's story is going to somewhat mirror Luke's from ESB. I was fully expecting it, but I don't think the whole film will be another remake. I think I saw some new A-wings, B-wings and even some AT-ATs :O. Very exciting to finally hear Luke say something, even if it's as hype building as "it's time for the Jedi to end." Daisy said something during the panel comparing Rey meeting Luke to the statement of "never meeting your heroes." Maybe Luke is just ready to give up and let whatever happens happen? Obviously it's still way too early to make anything of the story, but speculation is fun :D. Also, the teaser poster is really cool. That's something I'd like to hang a print of on the wall. BrikkyyTalk 16:27, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

I thought those C-wing things were B-wings :P Yeah it's supposed to pick up right after TFA. I'm hoping that there's at least a difference of a couple of weeks instead of it being instantly, or otherwise the crawl is going to be like "Previously on Star Wars" (Also I'm pretty sure Vader was on the table for several days. RotS's timeline is a bit iffy. It has to span over at least 6 months because of Padme's pregnancy doesn't it?). As for the panel, a few tiny things. Rose, obviously. Apparently her role is in an adventure with Finn. Kathleen Kennedy said Luke's role is "very big," and Daisy Ridley compared the story of Rey meeting Luke to the statement of "never meet your heroes." Rian said that the story starts with the whole galaxy being in unrest because the new republic is practically gone and the first order is jumping on it. Also Mark Hamil called Daisy his daughter at one point, but it was pretty obviously him messing around. BrikkyyTalk 05:27, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
Nothing about Snoke, unfortunately. Honestly, I think any info on him will be saved for IX, to parallel the emporer. Honestly, I'm not sure why there's so much secrecy around him and why everyone thinks he's someone from the past. I'm convinced he's a new character. Sure, they said he's been around for a while and has known about what happened, but they said the same about Maz and nobody questioned her. BrikkyyTalk 23:58, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Re:Upload form[edit]

You can write your personal JS for Special:Upload in User:NovaHawk/common.js. You can check if the page you're accessing is Special:Upload by seeing if the value of wgPageName is equal to Special:Upload, like so:

if ( mw.config.get( 'wgPageName' ) === 'Special:Upload' ) {
	// do some cool stuff
}

If you want to learn more about some of the configuration variables besides wgPageName, check out mw:Manual:Interface/JavaScript. Hope this helps! Also, somewhat relatedly, if you want a page for specifically customizing the file description on a page in the File namespace, you can use MediaWiki:Filepage.css. (There's no JS alternative specifically for file descriptions, meaning MediaWiki:Filepage.js won't work, unless if you decide to load it through ResourceLoader inside MediaWiki:Common.js or your own personal Common.js) SamanthaNguyen (talk) 13:56, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

No problem! Also I'm not sure if you noticed, but I accidentally wrote the above link as [[mw:Manual:Intefrface/JavaScript]], although it should link to mw:Manual:Interface/JavaScript instead. This is fixed now. :P SamanthaNguyen (talk) 04:54, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Fischkiste messaged me on my board and said he has been having issues with uploading images to the wiki. I'm not sure what the problem might be, so I thought I would seek help from you. Vasko (talk) 16:03, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

I also tried uploading an image and it worked fine, so it has to be on his end. Vasko (talk) 14:36, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
