- Automatic Binding Bricks were renamed to LEGO Mursten ("LEGO Bricks").
- The first baseplates were introduced.
- The first 1x2 and 2x3 bricks were introduced.
- For the first time, the name LEGO was printed inside all bricks.
- LEGO went on sale in Norway, the first time it had been sold outside of Denmark.[1]
- The first 1x1, 1x2, and 2x2 bricks were introduced.
