The Nova Officer is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure released in 2014.
Description[edit | edit source]
The Nova Officer has a flat silver helmet with gold and red printing. Along with that, the helmet also features black printing over the eyes. Under the helmet is a light nougat face with many facial features. One side including a grin for when the helmet is (presumably) off. As the other side depicts a more serious face with a silver and gold chinstrap. The blue torso features rather similar colors on it. Namely a silver chest piece with yellow highlights. The torso also features black straps that continue to the back along with the chest piece. On the back of the torso, it completes the pattern of silver and black printing. However, this includes a Nova Corps logo on the back. Along with this, the Nova Officer has dark bluish gray hands and a dark blue hip-piece/torso.
Background[edit | edit source]
The Nova Corps were the police force on Xandar. They arrested Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, and Gamora following a fight, but the fugitives promptly escaped.
Corpsman Rhomann Dey is part of the arresting squad that responds to the small battle involving Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot on Xandar. Dey is later contacted by Star-Lord who warns him of an incoming attack on Xandar by Ronan. Taking this information to Nova Prime, Dey vouches that they can believe Star-Lord's message.
After Ronan's defeat, Dey sees the newly-formed Guardians as he gifts them a rebuilt Milano as a token of appreciation from Nova Prime and his own thanks for the Guardians' actions.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- The figure very much resembles John C. Reilly's character Rhomann Dey
