Yellow Jacket is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure released in 2015.

Backround[edit | edit source]

Darren Cross was the former protégé of Hank Pym and took over his company, Pym Technologies, with the help of Pym's estranged daughter, Hope Van Dyne. Cross discovered that his former teacher was Ant-Man in the past and attempted to recreate the Pym Particles to power the Yellow Jacket, a weaponized version of the Ant-Man suit for the military. Though unsuccessful, as he could not shrink living subjects.

He later perfected the serum and invited Pym to unveiling ceremony, where he caught Scott Lang attempting to steal the suit. Cross then attempted to sell both suits to Hydra. Lang broke out and attempted to stop Cross from escaping, while the building imploded. Cross, enraged and driven insane by exposure to the imperfect serum, suited up in the Yellow Jacket armour and headed to Lang's ex-wife's house and held their daughter, Cassie, hostage. Lang battled with Cross, gaining the upper hand by shrinking down to the subatomic level and messing with Cross's suit causing him to uncontrollably shrink, killing him.
