Storm is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure who first appeared in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. She was later physically released in 2014 with the set 76022 X-Men vs. The Sentinel.
Description[edit | edit source]
Storm has white hair which flows over her back and right shoulder in contrast to her darker skin. Storm's face has squinted eyes and red lips with a determined expression on one side, while the other has white eyes and an angrier expression. She is dressed in all black clothing, including a cape that connects at her wrists and flows over the upper part of a crop top, joining it with yellow lining and a tiny X-Men logo. The crop top in turn connects to a pair of trunks via a yellow ring, leaving most of her stomach exposed. She wears a pair of rounded boots decorated with ovular cavities.
In the video games[edit | edit source]
Storm's default appearance in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes places her in a leotard with high black boots and a yellow embroidered cape that drapes over her arms. She wears a tiara perched on her white hair.
In Storm's white suit, which is only unlockable on portable versions, Storm has the same hairpiece as her existing minifigure. She wears a white bodysuit with a yellow stripe lining the right side and intercepting one which runs across her waist. An X-men logo is placed over her left side.
Background[edit | edit source]
Ororo Munroe is an African American from an African country called Wakanda, all of whom had white hair and blue eyes. She was born with the ability to create weather elements and change the weather to her choosing, but she did not discover her powers until her teenage years. She was found by Professor X and recruited into the X-Men.
She once married Black Panther, the king of Wankanda, and she ruled Wakanda as queen, alongside T-Challa.
In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes[edit | edit source]
After stealing the Tesseract from Loki, Wolverine brought it to the X-Mansion for examination by Professor X. Magneto's brotherhood then attacked the Mansion, and Storm worked together with Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, and Beast to rescue he periled students and defeat Juggernaut.
Storm later assisted Spider-Man, Captain America, and The Thing in defeating Rhino on Asteroid-M Island.
She also fought in the final battle, teaming-up with Cyclops, Magneto, and Doctor Doom as he fourth and final team against the Loki-controlled Galactus, and succeeded in repelling both.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Storm is the second black female to appear as a minifigure physically. Stass Allie was the first, and is also non-human, which means that LEGO have yet to release a dark-skinned female human in minifigure form. However, dark-skinned Mini-Doll Figures appeared as a part of the Friends theme since its inception, with Andrea being the most prominent.
