[List of appearances]

Poe Dameron is a Star Wars minifigure released in 2015.

Description[edit]

Poe with his alternate expression.

Poe's headpiece is flesh coloured with printing for a double-sided head. Both sides feature two black eyes with white pupils, black eyebrows and black stubble, as well as dark flesh printing for facial detailing between the eyes, the chin, and under the eyes. One side features a happy expression with a single black line for the mouth, while the other has a clenched mouth in white with black outlining.

Poe's body and leg pieces are dark orange and based on a Resistance flight suit. The body piece has black hands, and printing on the front and back. A white vest worn over the orange suit is printed on both sides, as is a grey belt with straps hanging off the front, and both are outlined and detailed in black. The belt also features some dark grey areas for clasps for straps and further detailing. On the front of the top left-hand side of the vest is a black starbird used as a logo for the Resistance (and formerly the Rebel Alliance), and in the centre is a grey rectangular life support system. The system has a dark grey area in the centre, and dark grey, blue and white buttons on it. Connected to the bottom of the life support system is a black tube, which continues on to the legs. The tube printing is printed on the leg joint and the left leg, which ends about half-way down the leg and goes into a pocket outlined in black. The legs also feature an empty pocket on the other leg, and two grey straps continuing from the body, with one clasp on each strap.

The minifigure comes with two accessories- a black blaster pistol and Poe's black Resistance helmet. The helmet has a transparent yellow visor, and printing on the black area of the helmet including silver dots and a rectangular area on the bottom right of the helmet, and a large rounded rectangle above the visor on the left-hand side. Inside this area is a red Resistance starbird, and another starbird is present on the right-hand side. Several red stripes and areas are also present, as is a white stripe, and some other small white designs, including the text "ROAEHAL" in Aurebesh on the right side above one of the red stripes.

Video game variants[edit]

In LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Poe Dameron has five variants- "Poe Dameron", "Poe Dameron (D'Qar)", "Poe Dameron (Helmetless)", "Poe Dameron (Prisoner)" and "Poe Dameron (Flight Suit)". His abilities consist of the following:

  • Can accept Resistance missions
  • Can use Resistance Terminals
  • Can grapple LEGO plugs

In the Poe's Quest for Survival downloadable content pack, Poe has one additional variant- "Poe Dameron (Jakku)". He possesses the same abilities as his other versions.

Background[edit]

Poe Dameron was a pilot who served the Resistance approximately 30 years after the Battle of Endor. General Organa sent Commander Dameron to Jakku to retrieve a map of where Luke Skywalker was hidden. While in the village, the First Order attacked so he was forced to hide the map inside his droid. During the battle, Poe was captured by Kylo Ren.

Ren interrogated Poe and learned of the map stored in the BB unit. However, Poe was rescued by FN-2187, a stormtrooper who no longer wished to serve the First Order after experiencing his first battle on Jakku. The two escaped on a TIE fighter, but it was shot down over Jakku. It was believed by Finn that Poe had died in the crash, when in fact he survived and managed to make his way back to the Resistance. Poe flew during the Battle of Takodana in his X-wing, then later led Red and Blue squadrons in the Battle of Starkiller Base under the callsign of Black Leader. After Finn, Rey, Han Solo and Chewbacca planted and set off several thermal detonators in the base, a weak point was created, allowing Poe to fire on that weak point which set off a chain reaction and destroyed the base.
