Captain Phasma is a Star Wars minifigure released in 2015.

Description[edit | edit source]

BASICALLY CHANGE WHITE TO SILVER, PLAIN BLACK HEADPIECE, CAPTAIN'S CAPE

The First Order Stormtrooper has a plain white leg piece, with black printing on the legs to outline armour plating on the knees and for depicting a gap in the armour revealing black undersuit towards the top of the inside of the legs. Additionally, the bottom of an ammunition pack is printed on towards the top of the right leg, while the top is continued on the leg joint, which is predominantly black for a belt, but with two other white rectangles also printed. The legs and leg joint are further detailed with grey printing.

This minifigure's upper body piece is white, with printing on the front and back of the piece. On the front, black areas are present near the head and arm joints representing the black undersuit, and the chest plate is outlined in grey, dark grey and black. On the right-hand side of the chest piece are six small black ovals. Under the chest plate are boxes outlined in dark grey, with further armour outlining in grey. The back side of the piece has a similar colour scheme, and a dark grey circle with black outlining is printed on the left-hand side of the back plate, while two white ovals with grey outlining are on the right. Underneath the back plate, a black and white thermal detonator attached to a mounting plate is depicted.

A flesh-coloured head is used, with black eyes with white pupils, downturned black eyebrows, a clenched mouth outlined in black showing white teeth, and a darker flesh colour used for detailing the cheekbones, chin and a crease between the eyebrows.

The First Order Stormtrooper comes with a helmet in every set it has appeared in to date. The helmet has a mould specially designed for First Order Stormtroopers, and uses dark grey printing for outlining and detailing areas around the ear areas. Seven lines on each side of the helmet for filtration vents are printed in grey, as is a circular area on the bottom-left part of the helmet which has detailing in dark grey. A narrow black trapezium is printed underneath the ear areas, However, perhaps the most distinctive part of the helmet is the large black area for the visor and mouth grille.

This minifigure has come with several different weapons. The most common weapon the trooper has had is a black blaster piece, but the Stormtrooper has also come with a black stud shooter with a dark grey firing pin and transparent red studs. In 75139 Battle on Takodana, one of the Stormtroopers is a riot control stormtrooper, and comes armed with a riot control baton which is made up of white, grey and black pieces.

CUT THIS SECTION DOWN

Phasma was a Human female from Parnassos, a world which had greatly regressed technologically after a nuclear incident several hundred years ago. She led the Scyre clan with her brother, Keldo, until one day when a chrome-plated ship was shot down by the planet's still-functioning automated defence system. An escape pod crashed near the Scyre, leading to Phasma eventually meeting General Brendol Hux. Hux promised the Scyre that any who would help get him to his ship which had crashed far beyond the lands that anyone in the Scyre had ever travelled would be allowed to travel off-planet, and join the First Order if they wished to. The Scyre voted against leaving their territory to go with Hux, however Phasma and a few of her warriors snuck out that night with Hux and his three stormtroopers. After a lengthy quest which ended in the slaughter of the rest of the Scyre who had pursued Phasma's group for their betrayal and Phasma personally killing her brother, only four remained- Phasma, Hux, Siv (one of Phasma's warriors) and Frey (Phasma's niece who was a part of the group pursuing Phasma's group). When Hux called down First Order reinforcements, he took Phasma as promised, as well as Frey, who was to be trained as a stormtrooper. However Siv was left behind as Hux deemed her to be weak. When back aboard his Star Destroyer, Hux destroyed from orbit several settlements they encountered during their voyage.

Impressed the skill Phasma had shown, Hux ordered Captain Cardinal, the head of the First Order's stormtrooper training program, to train her in First Order methods and bring her up to speed with current technology. She would then take over half of Cardinal's program, training the older recruits while he would still be in charge of the younger ones, something that Cardinal greatly resented her for. When she was made Captain, Phasma travelled back to Parnassos and fashioned chrome armor out of the plating on Hux's (formerly Palpatine's) yacht that was not recovered after it crashed. She also took a beetle from the planet that she encountered on her journey with Hux which could cause a victim to liquefy over several days after it was bitten. Phasma planted the beetle on Brendol, killing who Phasma thought was the last person who knew any of her history before she joined the First Order. Brendol's cause of death was never identified as the Parnassos beetle wasn't in any of the First Order's records.

However, at one point, Cardinal had tracked down and captured Resistance spy Vi Moradi, who had been in contact with Siv after she had escaped Hux's bombardment and was still living on Parnassos. After learning Phasma's story through his interrogation of Moradi, Cardinal informed General Armitage Hux of how Brendol was killed. Armitage revealed to Cardinal that he had plotted his father's assassination with Phasma. With noone else to go to over Brendol's death, Cardinal confronted Phasma and tried to kill her himself, but was soundly defeated, and Phasma left him on the floor to die from his injuries. However, Vi Moradi, who he had released after his interrogation, found Cardinal and helped him to escape with her.
