Today I'm reviewing a winter 2014 set: 41037 Stephanie's Beach House. This set is a 35€/$ Friends set.
- Theme: Friends
- Pieces: 320
- Mini-doll figures: 2
- Price: 34.99 USD

The Build[edit | edit source]
Mini-doll figures[edit | edit source]
Two mini-doll figures are included and neither of them are Stephanie's parents. :( I don't know why LEGO only releases the parents in the house sets, one of Stephanie's parents would've fitted here perfectly.
Stephanie's sun visor-ponytail combo was introduced here. She reuses Mia's dolphin cruiser torso, which is not rare anymore. Everything else is common.
Kate's face was someone what rare at the time, but now it appears in 6 other sets. Her hair appears in 5 others. Her torso is somewhat rare but her legs aren't. I don't know why she's not wearing sandals. It would've made the figure better.
Side-build[edit | edit source]
200px The side build here is kinda interested as it could've easily not been included and includes a handful of decent parts: the amber walkie talkie, the camera, the laptop. The microscope build looks weird though :P Also why did Mia bring a school bag to the jungle?!
The Beachouse[edit | edit source]
200px200px200px The sanctuary looks weird more then anything. :S I guess I should go floor by floor. The first floor has a small water area for the turtle at the bottom left corner. For Some reasons there's a big hole in the wall surrounding it. :/ The paddock for the Lion includes Lavender curvy indented bricks (<3) and azure pieces to hold a chicken leg and a bone. It's odd how the girls are rescuing animals but allow the animals to eat other animals. To the right there's another killer mushroom, behind it though are lovely exclusive lime grass pieces! The back is rather boring, but it was nice they included it. It includes a ugly bed and a nice latern build. Seriously that bed is disturbingly ugly.
The second floor is rather weird as well there's a nice birdhouse which is kinda pointless but okay. There's a pink bag with a oats and wheat logo, but there's a biscuit in it. :S There's also a ladder included in front of the birdhouse for uncool people who won't climb the vine. Also on the second floor is a weird random foliage section plopped in the middle, like it owns the place. Also to the right there's an apple and bottle for Mia (I guess she has to care about her health before the dying animals).
The third floor is practically nothing it includes lavender steps and a green vine which swirls around the exterior of the sanctuary, into a lavender bucket on the second floor.
The rest of the sanctuary mainly is built with brown pieces, though lime sword leafs and 1x1 red flower studs are very common here which is nice as those pieces are kinda rare.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Build/Design | 2½ / 5 |
Playability | 3 / 5 |
Parts | 4 / 5 |
Price | 4 / 5 |
Overall | 3½ / 5 |
Again only just better then meh :P In fairness the parts and price are great! But the design is odd and weird and the characters are such annoying choices! Should you get this set? It's probally going to go on sale for 20$ so I'd say definitely pick it up then(especially if you don't collect animal packs), I'd skip it for now. <3 Soup
