Today I'm reviewing a new set: 41060 Sleeping Beauty's Royal Bedroom. This set is the cheapest set of this Disney Princess wave. I didnt like last years Disney Princess 13$ set, is this a change? While reading keep in mind I'm a Disney Princess fan girl, so if the set isn't accurate I won't be a huge fan. I'm going to attempt to be positive in reviews this year though, but no promises ;). Onto the review:

Box and Instructions[edit | edit source]

Box[edit | edit source]

Yes I do this section when I feel like it. :P The box is pink like the other Disney Princess sets. The box is small and a 10$ box size, so this set has a 3$ price hike. Yay? The box portrays Aurora having a truth or dare contest with a rabbit, and the rabbit has dared her to touch the needle on the spinning wheel. What? Why else would Aurora be so happy when she's going to prick her thumb? The back of the box shows more of the set, but everything was shown on the front so they resort into claiming turning a Spinning Wheel is a play feature. Also apparently one of the dares was steal one of the fairies wands and hide it other the covers. Also on the back in the bottom right corner you can see the Princess club has kicked out Merida. Elsa is clearly boasting she has magic powers by displaying her ice magic and the other characters don't.

Instructions[edit | edit source]

41060-8Soup.jpg

The instructions are short and easy to follow. No ground breaking techniques thrown in either, so random page!

The Build[edit | edit source]

Mini-doll figure[edit | edit source]

41060-3Soup.jpg

The best part of this set is Auora she is extremely accurate. Her hairpiece is new and looks just as well on minifigures as it does on mini-dolls! (Berrybrick suggested it'd be great on a Black Canary minifig!). Her hairpiece has one spot for bows and crows, the top. Her headpiece is new and great! It portrays her violet eyes, which is a rare eye colour so it'll remain exclusive...probably. Her dress is semi-accurate, while it should be blue in this scene, the dress does turn pink through out the film so why not? Presumably both dress pieces will remain exclusive to set, for at least a year. There's been some complaint about her arms being light pink rather then pink, but this is film accurate.

We also get a white rabbit, just coz :P Eh in Sleeping Beauty there was no white rabbits, there was grey hares. I don't see why we couldn't have the Harry Potter owl in brown (also used as Heartlake High), as that's her best friend.

Sidebuilds[edit | edit source]

41060-4Soup.jpg

Every girl needs a vanity, right? Right. In fairness the set is currently the cheapest way to get a mirror sticker (Unless you can find Andrea's bedroom somewhere). The vanity also has a neat play feature where you can push the centre of it out to create a stool. Note that the cushion is a printing, and exclusive. We get two cushions in this set. Also on the vanity is a trans purple cone piece with glitter! Two come in this set if you count extras!

The spinning wheel is very stylized and now it's golden and has a flower on it to look pretty. The needle of it is recreated by a gold unicorn/unikitty horn.

There's also a random window as LEGO has officially ran out of ideas. The base of the window has the other printed cushion and 2 1x2 flats in pink to the side. There's a light pink bowl with strawberries and a carrot in it, as the two characters are going to have a buffet whenever Phillip bothers to show up. The window has a brown pain and gold shutters. At the top of the window there's a trans pink jewel heart (why can't that have glitter in it?), this is the cheapest way to get that heart piece. The other side of the window has ivy sticking out of it, so the rabbit only has to scale the tower so far until he gets helped by the ivy.

The bed[edit | edit source]

41060-5Soup.jpg41060-7Soup.jpg

The main build is Aurora's bed. The bed is on a tan baseplate which has purple curtains at the back. (Another colour would've been nice as we've got purple curtains in Cinderella's castle). At the top of the curtains there's flowery ivy growing, and other one of those jewel heart pieces. The bed itself is constructed nicely. I love the 1x4 light pink curvy bricks, which previously were exclusive to Juniors. There's also 4 1x2 pink cheese slopes. The bed sheet is unfortunately a sticker, I would've per faired a brick built sheet like in Friends, but oh well. The pillow (though a sticker) looks very nice. You can lift the bed up to reveal a trans pink magic wand, because why not?

Overall, this is okay. While it's not accurate in terms of the movie, I don't see how they could've made it accurate with this number of pieces. The biggest problem is not including Phillip, if the window was removed we could've got him. The parts however are very nice, and if you don't buy many girly sets this may be a nice part piece set for you! Strawberries, the pink cushion pieces, all of Aurora, the curvy light pink pieces, the jewel hearts. The price for piece ratio isn't great, but not many licensed sets have great price for pieces. Overall I give this 7/10, it's not the best but certainly not the worst. What do you think of this set? Be sure to let me know in the comments?

Anyways, thanks for reading my review! I hope you liked it <3 Soup

There should be another set with Aurora in a pretty blue dress; in fact, in Minifigure Elsa, Aurora is most commonly seen dressed in blue.

Minifigure Elsa is not fake, it's being made! All of the Disney Princesses who have a LEGO set (except Merida) appear. Cinderella wears her famous ball gown but with her hair down, Aurora wears her blue dress but sometimes wears her pink dress, Ariel mostly wears her pink dress or is seen as a mermaid, Jasmine wears her blue casual clothing (but also wears a long-sleeved lavender dress that covers up more of her skin), Rapunzel wears her homecoming dress, Anna wears an exclusive dress with a dark blue bodice and a blue floor-length skirt and also wears a sharp golden tiara, Elsa wears her Snow Queen dress with her hair decorated by a blue bow and a silver tiara.

Lol :P

I don't think 41052 was that bad either Review:41052 Ariel's Magical Kiss/Soupperson1 but above is the best in the theme, I would've given it a 9 if it included Phillip and the owl instead of the window and rabbit :P
