- “Yeah, and how cool is it that I can honestly say, my brother is a Nindroid?”
- ―Jay to Zane after Zane tells the other three ninja he is a Nindroid in the episode "Tick Tock".
Nindroids are robotic ninja from the Ninjago theme. Their name is a pun on "ninja" and "android". They first appeared in the non-canonical online game Smash Party and later its sequel, Viper Smash. Later, in Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu it was revealed that Zane is a robot, but Jay dubbed him as a nindroid. Zane was created to protect those that can't protect themselves. In 2014, they are the main antagonists.
Description[edit | edit source]
In the online games, the nindroids wear either a grey DX or ZX outfit and wield a pair of shurikens. They appear to have the same head printing as the Robot from the Collectable Minifigures theme. The Nindroid DX suit is a grey version of Jay's suit. However, in the TV series and sets, the Nindroids are black, while the Nindroid Warrior has a unique headpiece similar to the ZX headpiece, but with a robotic eye.
