General Cryptor is a Ninjago minifigure release in 2014. He is the robotic leader of the Nindroid army, and is a major antagonist in the third season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.
Background[edit | edit source]
General Cryptor was created by P.I.X.A.L. to serve the Digital Overlord. leads the attack on the Power Station, and makes fun of Min-Droid's small appearance, and gives him the nickname. Eventually, he encounters Zane and tells him to get a move on with the future. When the Power Station is destroyed, he is powered down with the rest of the nindroids. ("The Art of the Silent Fist")
Cryptor returned to Ninjago and accompanied Pythor and the Overlord to the factory where the golden weapons were being melted into armour. At the Overlord's command, the Nindroid general released Borg, informing him that all he could do is bow to the Golden Master. During the Ninja's attack on the Overlord, Cryptor came across Nya as she emerged from the wreckage of her mech. The two engaged in combat, with Cryptor gaining the upper hand due to his armour. After pinning her down, Nya began to mock him by claiming that the general was weaker than Min-Droid. Cryptor's boasted of his superiority, unaware that the miniature Nindroid was nearby, who punched the general.
The two nindroids began fighting and continued until they were frozen during Zane's battle with the Overlord and shattered. ("The Titanium Ninja")
LEGO.com Description[edit | edit source]
This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it.
General Cryptor is the robotic leader of the Nindroid army, and a servant of the Digital Overlord.
Unlike the Nindroids, who rarely speak, Cryptor talks all the time.
He loves to taunt and insult his foes in battle, and has even been known to criticize his own troops (saying they are as stealthy as a herd of hungry yaks).
Cryptor’s emotional programming is also more advanced than that of the Nindroids, and his quick temper can be used against him.
Cryptor dismisses the ninja as a serious threat to his army.
That may be a mistake that comes back to haunt both him and the Digital Overlord.
