Ronin is a minifigure introduced in 2015. He first appeared in the video game LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, where he was the primary enemy, but later assisted the ninja in their fight against the Ghost Ninja.

Background

Ronin is a memory-thief and an enemy of the ninja. Later, he helps the ninja defeat the ghosts by giving them aero blades and fighting in the final battle against Morro and The Preeminent in the city of Stixx.

In the sixth season, Ronin is hired by the police to capture the ninja after they were framed by Nadakhan. He was successful and received a clean slate. He later aided in the rescue of Nya, Lloyd and Cole from Tiger Widow Island and helped plan the rescue of Jay from Misfortunes Keep. Jay later recruited him as part of the 'Replacment Ninja' team to raid New Djinjago and stop Nadakhan from marrying Nya and saving the other Ninja.

While everyone was preoccupied during the Day of the Departed celebrations, Ronin used the opportunity to steal scrap for his mech. While scrap hunting, he arrives at Ed and Edna's Scrapyard while Samukai and his Skulkins were attacking Jay and his parents. He helped Jay defeat the Skulkin general. In return, Ed allowed Ronin to take a bag full of scrap, saying all 'he had to do was ask'.
