[List of appearances]

Firmus Piett, also referred to as Admiral Firmus Piett or just Admiral Piett, is a minifigure released in 2011, based upon the Imperial officer of the same name from the Star Wars universe.

Description[edit | edit source]

The minifigure has plain dark grey leg piece, and a dark grey torso piece with black hands for gloves. There is printing to depict the outline of Piett's officer's tunic and his belt on both the front and the back of the piece, and also on the front is a rank insignia with six red and six blue rank squares, and one silver code cylinder present on each side. Piett's headpiece is flesh-coloured, and has printing for eyes, eyebrows, a mouth posed in a serious expression, and outlining for facial features. This headpiece was first used for the final Severus Snape minifigure in the Harry Potter theme. Piett has one accessory- a dark grey officer's cap.

Background[edit | edit source]

Firmus Piett was a Captain stationed onboard the Super Star Destroyer Executor, Darth Vader's personal flagship. After the ship's commander, Admiral Ozzel, was killed by Vader above Hoth for having the fleet enter the system too close to the Rebel base, Vader promoted Piett to Admiral. One year later, Piett was killed on the Executor during the Battle of Endor, when the ship's bridge was destroyed by an out-of-control A-wing starfighter, causing the whole ship to lose control and crash into the second Death Star. This incident resulted in the complete destruction of the Super Star Destroyer, killing Piett and everyone else onboard the ship.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The rank insignia on the Admiral Piett minifigure does not correspond to Piett's rank insignia in the Star Wars universe- Piett has two code cylinders present on his left side as opposed to just one.
