Portable missile launcher
|[List of appearances]|
Jace Malcom was released in 2012, and has a white leg piece, with red, black and grey printing on the front of the legs representing painted areas and outlining of the lower armour. The torso piece is also white, with the same colour scheme used as for the legs. Features on the torso include several parts of the plate armour, a grey bandolier, a black belt with a red buckle on the front, and a backplate and the other side of the bandolier on the back. The arms are red with black hands. The Trooper's head piece is flesh-coloured, with a series expression formed by the single-line black mouth and down turned black eyebrows. The eyes are black with white pupils, and stubble is also printed on around the sides and bottom area of the piece. On the top right-hand side of the head piece is a scar running down the side of his face. A black hair piece is used, which gives the impression that the hair has been combed back. The Republic trooper has one accessory- a two-handed, brick-built portable missile launcher, which is primarily black but also features tan and light grey elements.
Jace Malcom was a trooper who served the Republic during the Great Galactic, Cold and Galactic Wars. Malcom was present during the Battle of Korriban, one of the first battles in the Great Galactic War which was led by the Sith Lord Vindican and his Apprentice, Malgus. Despite the Republic losing the battle, Malcom, then a Corporal, managed to escape with a small group, including T7-O1 and Jedi Padawan Satele Shan. Twenty-eight years later, Malcom, now a Captain and in command of Havoc Squad, successfully defeated Sith forces during the Battle of Alderaan with the help of Jedi Knight Satele Shan. At some point after the Battle of Alderaan, Satele would give birth to hers and Jace's son Theron Shan who would go on to serve in the Republic Strategic Information Services. During the Cold War, Malcom was promoted to the rank of Colonel, and shortly into the Galactic War, he was again promoted, this time to the Republic's Military's Supreme Commander.
- Despite resembling Malcom, this minifigure was only ever officially referred to as a Republic Trooper up until The LEGO Group put on a display of over 500 Star Wars minifigures at the 2014 Comic-Con International: San Diego.
