Jon "Dutch" Vander, also known as Dutch Vander, Gold Leader or Rebel Pilot, was one of several Rebel pilots who participated in the attack on the Death Star over Yavin 4.
Description[edit | edit source]
Dutch Vander features a typical technician head as seen in Space Port sets and the like. His legs and body are orange, with the print of a Rebel pilot as seen in related Star Wars sets. His helmet features an exclusive print.
Background[edit | edit source]
Jon Vander, commonly known as Dutch, was a Rebel pilot. He was given the callsign of Gold leader during the battle of Yavin 4. He was leading the first trench run, covered by Tiree (Gold 2) and Davish 'Pops' Krail (Gold 5). After Tiree was killed by Darth Vader, Dutch started panicking. He was also killed by Darth Vader moments after Tiree. Pops met the same fate during the retreat.
