The Horn Company Clone Trooper[1], also referred to as Clone Trooper, Clone Commander and Captain Lock, is a Star Wars minifigure released in 2011.
Description[edit | edit source]
This minifigure has a leg piece with white legs and a black leg joint. Each of the legs have printing on the front them- black for the outline of the leg armour, and a sand green diagonal line approximately half-way down. The torso piece has the standard The Clone Wars Clone Trooper black printing to outline the shape of the armour, but also has sand green printing on the chest plates, and stripes just below the chest plates. A lime green design is also printed in the centre of the piece. On the back of the torso, the backplate and areas above the plate are coloured in sand green, and one sand green stripe to either side of the plate is present. The head piece is the standard flesh-coloured clone trooper face found on most The Clone Wars clone troopers, as is the helmet. However, the helmet piece once again has additional sand green printing on it to either side of the mouth area and the crest at the top, but the grey shapes below the visor found on the standard printing design is removed. A lime green line also runs around the base of the crest, the sand green printing around the crest, and above the visor. This minifigure also comes equipped with two black blaster pistols.
Background[edit | edit source]
Horn Company was a group of clone troopers led by Jedi General Eeth Koth and Captain Lock. More than half of the company was killed when General Grievous and his droids boarded the Venator-class Star Destroyer Steadfast, the others evacuating to safety in escape pods.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- This minifigure is one of the first to come with the blaster pistol piece, the others being a Mandalorian and Aurra Sing.
- Although this trooper is most commonly referred to as a Clone Commander, in the Star Wars universe no Clone Troopers in Horn Company held the rank of Commander, as the company was led by a Captain, a rank lower than Commander.
- A display at the 2014 Comic-Con International: San Diego first identified this trooper as Captain Lock, however, the markings on this trooper reflect the standard markings of Horn Company- Captain Lock's armour design differs from his squadmates.
