The Brain is a DC Comics character.
Background[edit | edit source]
The man who would be come the brain was a French scientist who experiments an animals in order to give them intelligence, successfully granting a gorilla named Monsieur Mallah genius level intellect. The scientist's partner, a man named Dr. Niles Caulder, became jealous of his partner's prowess with Mallah, and triggered an explosion which destroyed the scientist's body. Mallah, salvaging the scientist's brain, places it in a cybernetic cannister which he carries on his back. Together they found the Brotherhood of Evil in order to get revenge on Caulder, now known as the Chief and leader of a team of misfit heroes called the Doom Patrol.
After sometime working together, the Brain, inhabiting a robotic body created by Caulder, confesses his love for Mallah. The two kiss, but the robot self-destructs. The pair continue their criminal activities alongside the Brotherhood of Evil, seeking to find away to restore the Brain's body so that he and Mallah can pursue their relationship.
In the video games[edit | edit source]
After the Justice League heads into outer space, the Brain is part of a summit of supervillains who convene at Santa Prisca to conduct business with The Reach. After it is discovered that the teenage heroes Artemis and Aqualad have infiltrated their numbers, a strike team of other young heroes led by Nightwing attack the villains. Brain is defeated when Kid Flash and Impulse disarm his weapons.

- The Brain is a non-playable character in LEGO DC Super Villains, though he appears as an accessory for Monsieur Mallah and as a boss in the Young Justice DLC level. He is voiced by Jason Spisak.
