Captain Cold is a Super Heroes minifigure who was released in 2015.
Description[edit | edit source]
Captain Cold has a medium blue torso, arms, legs, and hips. He also has a flesh-toned head, white hands, and a medium blue parka. Captain Cold's torso printing depicts his parka, with a yellow belt, buttons, and white fur at the top. His face is printed to show his blue goggles and an evil grin, with the grin displaying his white teeth. He wields a brick-built, grey freeze gun. A grey ADU blaster and binoculars are used for the top portion of the gun, with Captain Cold holding onto the ADU blaster. Attached to the ADU blaster's lower section is a grey 1x1 plate with a horizontally-oriented clip. Attached to this plate is a 1x1 cylinder at the front, from which a blue flame element representing ice juts out, and a stud at the back.
In the video games[edit | edit source]
Captain Cold wears the same hood previously used by the Ice Fisherman, but the brown parts are replaced by cool blue and a sharp is added at the end. He wears blue glasses and has a light blue muscular torso with a yellow belt. His hips and legs are light blue, decorated with boots and ice on it.
In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes he has an ice gun and is immune to cold environments.
Background[edit | edit source]
After Leonard Snart's grandfather dies, he leaves home and works with a small gang of thieves. When he is captured by The Flash during a robbery, he swears revenge in prison and figures a way to defeat the Flash. He created a gun that can lower temperatures to absolute zero and stop all motion. Upon this, he titles himself "Captain Cold" and eventually becomes the leader of The Rogues (a select contingent of Flash's enemies banded together with a strict code of ethics) against the The Flash, becoming his arch-enemy.
In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes[edit | edit source]
Captain Cold plays no role in the story but is available on the console version through downloadable content.
In the portable version Captain Cold is an unlockable character. He is unlocked for purchase after finding the third minikit of the fifth level, Ace Chemicals. He costs 80,000 studs.
