Background[edit | edit source]
Scolder was originally just an ordinary scorpion who lived at the bottom of the Gorge of Eternal Depth until he drank from the Chi in the orbs Laval threw into the gorge and evolved. The scorpion then joined with the rest of the Crawlers and marched to the surface where they established a base in the Outlands.
Scolder was in charge of guarding the entrance to the Scorpion Cave when the Raven Legend returned with Lavertus's Golden Chi. Soon after, the Chima heroes launched their first attack and Scolder's forces ran to defend their base. Though Lavertus, Laval, and Razar made it through, the cut off the other heroes and engaged in hand-to-hand combat. However the three heroes soon emerged with the Raven Legend and drenched Scolder and his forces in gold paint. Mistaking them as golden treasure, the Raven Legend grabbed them and assembled them into a pile. Eventually, the scorpion general managed to free himself and fled back inside where he was confronted by Scorm. ("The Legend Thief")
Scolder oversaw the construction of the Crawer's speedorz and when the first one was finished, he proudly presented it to Scorm. ("The Eagle and the Bear")
Not long after their crushing defeat, Scolder and Scutter collected all the remaining Chi orbs and presented them to Scorm in the hopes of using them for revenge. However their now Chi hating king insisted they throw it all away and seal the opening. They did as they were told, yet unintentionally provided Sir Fangar with the power to reawaken the rest of the Hunters. Soon after as they were filling in the crevice with rocks, the Hunters ascended and Scolder was immediately imprisoned in ice. His frozen self was taken with the Hunters and soon added to Sir Fangar's collection. ("Fire Dreaming")
