Worriz is a Legends of Chima minifigure. Worriz is a major character in the series, appearing as an antagonist in the 2013 sets and in 2014 as a protagonist. He is the leader of the Wolf tribe.
Background[edit | edit source]
Worriz lived with the other wolves at the wolf camp and acted as the representative of the tribe. He doubted the existence of Legend Beasts.
In Worriz's youth, the wolf played with the other children from the other tribes at Forever Rock. He was present at Forever Rock when Cragger plugged an orb before his age of becoming and later played with the croc prince after he was forbidden to see his best friend, Laval. During one of their games, Cragger offered to show Worriz the sacred pool, only for the wolf to flee at the first sign of guards. ("The Legend of Chima")
At the first speedorz tournament following the apparent demise of Crominus, Worriz dueled Razar and then later lost to Laval. Seeking revenge for his defeat, Worriz pledged the support of the wolves to Cragger and the ravens to help in their attack on the Lion City.
While the beavers constructed a dam for the crocodile, Worriz and the other wolves were paid by Crooler to prevent the lion king Lagravis from reaching the city. ("The Joyride")
Worriz once again represented the wolves in the next speedorz tournament. He won the practice run with ease and later beat Laval and Cragger during the actual race. ("Market Day")
Worriz was one of the wolves that attacked Eagle Spire after the eagles supposedly stole the Mother Tooth, but suspended the attack when the tooth was returned. ("Attack on Eagle Spire")
When Laval headed into exile, he passed Worriz and the other wolfs on the move. ("Laval in Exile")
Worriz and the other wolves answered Laval's call for help defending Mount Cavora from the black cloud when it first appeared in Chima. Following its defeat, he celebrated with the other tribes until the floating mountain's waterfalls ran dry. ("The Black Cloud")
Before venturing into the Outlands, Worriz and the other heroes stopped by the Lion City as Lagravis reminisced about everything that had happen since the battle at The Fangs. Undeterred by his fathers words however, Laval inspired his friends and they raced out of the Lion Temple.
At the Chi-day following their return from the Outlands, Worriz competed in the race but lost to Gorzan when he became distracted by Cragger and Laval's crash. That evening, he attended their bonfire at the Forever Rock. When the topic of how Chima began came up, he insisted that the howl of the Mother Wolf was what lifted Mount Cavora into the sky. ("Fire Dreaming")
When the Hunter's returned to Chima, Worriz and the other wolves went to war along with the lions, rhinos, and eagles. During the battle, Worriz served as a gunner on a pack tracker. ("Attack of the Ice Clan")
Worriz was at the wolf camp roasting marshmallows with Razar when Laval summoned them to the Crescent to guard it for the phoenix king Fluminox. ("The Crescent")
The wolf leader manned a speedor in the Chima tribe's next battle with the Hunters at The Fangs where they pushed them back into the Gorge of Eternal Depth. Worriz then took part in the failed attack on their ice fortress. ("Fired Up!")
Worriz answered Laval's summon soon after the Hunter's attack on the lion city where he and the other warriors discussed what to do about the approaching hunter glacier. When they decided to storm it at the Grand Archway, Worriz and Gorzan served as a distraction while the others rescued those captured in the trophy room. ("A Very Slippery Slope")
Following the battle, Worriz searched the great forest for any sign of the Hunters with Gorzan, despite him insisted that the gorilla need not accompany him any more. ("The Artifact")
When Razar reported that the Hunter's were at the top of Spiral Mountain, Worriz accompanied Cragger, Laval, and Rogon on a rescue mission to free Li'ella. ("The Phoenix has Landed")
LEGO.com Descriptions 2013-2015[edit | edit source]
This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Please do not modify it. Worriz
Wolves are pack animals who live in such close quarters that they share a kind of hive mind. Group decisions are usually arrived at easily and unanimously, so there is no real need for leaders. However, the wolves’ transitory nature and traveling battle caravans often bring them into contact (and conflict) with other creatures, so someone in the tribe has to handle negotiations with “the others” (as all nonwolves are known). Worriz was given this role because he was considered “the most personable.” In reality, he is a vicious, ruthless backstabber. His only saving grace is that he is able to disguise his true nature long enough to fool the other creatures. He can even occasionally fake a bit of “charm” when needed. He is the closest thing the merciless wolves have to a “statesman,” but that’s not saying much.
Although wolf packs don’t normally have leaders, Worriz has held a position of power in his tribe for a long time because it’s believed he is the best at negotiating with other tribes. He was never very happy about having to answer to Cragger during the fight over CHI, and he still isn’t comfortable with Laval and his other new “allies” on the quest for the Fire Wings. But he understands that the Icehunters are even more vicious and nasty than he is, so they have to be stopped. For now, Worriz and the Wolves will play nice with others.
