The Bear Legend is an animal that appears in the Legends of Chima: The Animated Series.

Background[edit | edit source]

The Bear Legend was one of the few animals that did not drink the Chi from Mount Cavora and evolve into an anthropomorphic being. He instead journeyed into the Outlands with the other legend beasts and lived in peace for almost a thousand years.

When the Crawlers emerged from the Scorpion Caves, they began capturing the Legend Beasts. The bats captured the Bear Legend and placed him on one of the rocks in the Seesaw Valley with his weight being balanced with the Eagle Legend's eggs. ("The Eagle and the Bear")

The next day, Bladvic rode the Bear Legend with the Chima hero's raid on the scorpion caves. ("Tooth or Consequences")

The Bear Legend remained in Mount Cavora for the next few months and when Laval, Eris, and Cragger arrived seeking help from the Phoenix, the Bear and the other legend beasts used the fire roar to send them to the Phoenix Temple. ("The Call of Cavora")

The Bear was later summoned with the other beasts for Laval and Cragger's trial by fire where it used it's fire roar again to light Laval's shield. ("Trial by Fire")

A few days later, The Phoenix brought the Legend Beasts in the Blazing Bastion to the Crescent after learning that the Hunters were using their underground tunnel system to move around Chima. Flinx and Laval escorted the Bear Legend to the Bear Forest to protect the tribe. However the legend quickly fell asleep until the next morning where it replied to Laval's roll call using its fire roar. It fell asleep soon after and the Vultures froze the entire Bear tribe minus the legend. ("Cool and Collected","The Snowball Effect")
